T-Shirt Design Contest

Voting is open!

APCO is asking you to create our next conference shirt. Here’s what you’ll need to do:

Produce an original design that incorporates the host city Anaheim and/or the state of California, and the spirit of APCO International and emergency communications. Designs will be voted on and the winner’s artwork will be printed on the back of the next APCO conference shirt in Anaheim.

Contest Rules

As a condition to being considered for the contest, you hereby represent and warrant that the following statements are true and correct and that you agree to the terms and conditions contained herein:

Eligibility
The contest is open to all, however, APCO staff is not eligible to participate. Participation in the promotion/contest constitutes entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these official rules.

Design
Be prepared to upload your design in the following format: PSD (Photoshop), AI (Adobe Illustrator), JPG, EPS or PDF.

The winning design will be selected by APCO International and printed on the back of the official conference T-shirt. The color of the conference shirt this year is kelly green.

APCO reserves the right to use all designs for future marketing purposes.

No reproduced images will be accepted.  Your submission must be original artwork.

Please do not use copyrighted, trademarked, intellectual property to include but not limited to characters, titles, attractions in your design.

There is no limit to the number of entries per entrant during the entry period.

If your submission needs to be reproduced to ensure the highest quality of printing, we will do our best to recreate the most accurate design.

Process/Timeline

Deadline for submission:  May 5, 2022 (midnight ET) 
You must complete the entire application. Entries will not be accepted if application is incomplete or sent separately from the online form.

Selection of top three submissions: May 11, 2022
Top three finalists will be notified that their design has made it to the next round of online voting. Please do not call regarding the selection process.

Voting on top three finalist opens: May 11, 2022
Voting ends: May 23, 2022

Criteria for Selecting the Winning Design
The winning design will be determined by how well the artist incorporates the host city Anaheim and/or the State of California and the spirit of APCO International and emergency communications.  A panel of judges will select the three finalists to move forward in the competition.

Selection of winner: May 24, 2022
Winner will be notified via phone call and email.

Prize
The winner will receive the following:

  • One conference shirt
  • One registration to either APCO 2022 in Anaheim or APCO 2023 in Nashville.
    Registration includes:

    • Entrance into all professional development tracks Sunday through Wednesday
    • Entrance into the exhibit hall Monday and Tuesday
    • Two $10 lunch credits redeemable at the exhibit hall food outlets
    • Entrance into the APCO Block Party
    • Attendee bag ticket
    • Attendee gift ticket
  • Recognition on the APCO 2022 website, emails and social media.

The complimentary registration is non-transferable. If the selected winner is already registered for APCO 2022, the complimentary registration will then be deferred to APCO 2023.

Disclaimer
The submission form must be filled out completely and truthfully. If you fail to complete the form, give any false information or fail to reveal any pertinent information, you may be disqualified from the competition.

All decisions are made by APCO International and are final.

If winner cannot be contacted within two weeks of selection, prize may be forfeited.
